Le programme SCALE, financé par une subvention de 15 millions d'euros de la part de BBI JU et de la Commission européenne en 2021, vise à développer une industrie internationale des ingrédients naturels issus de microalgues. Ce projet s'inscrit dans la feuille de route de Microphyt pour renforcer trois axes de croissance : la commercialisation directe d'ingrédients naturels pour les laboratoires de compléments alimentaires et les marques cosmétiques, la création d'une plateforme de production à grande échelle pour une fourniture fiable des ingrédients, et une capacité d'innovation pour développer des ingrédients uniques dans les secteurs de la nutrition et des cosmétiques.
