Noremat promeut le fauchage avec exportation de l'herbe des bords de route pour la valorisation énergétique via la méthanisation. Cette pratique permet de produire une énergie renouvelable (5 à 7 litres d'énergie par tonne d'herbe valorisée), réduire les adventices, améliorer la biodiversité, limiter les coûts d'entretien et réduire les transferts de nitrates dans les eaux. Elle évite aussi le recours aux cultures énergétiques et aux engrais chimiques.
